I've been going through benchmarks on ssd's, and I've seen that the samsung 830 was highly regarded. Tough they were discontinued in regard of the 840 pro. But there are a lot of ssd's that are far cheaper, could save me up to 70$. So i'm wondering which ssd's i should be looking at for for gaming and programming?

And im also wondering which wireless card would be best for low ping, low latency, and all that. Supposedly the killer 1103 is the best, but i also read it drops connection a lot. So i'm thinking of going with an intel upgrade maybe? I dont really know at this point. should i even upgrade at all?

My computer will be the Sager np9150 with stock hard drive and stock wireless card

Intel 520 amd the samsung are similar in price, but which will last longer.
Also looked at the corsair neutron, which has high marks but is almost 70$ cheaper.

I also think i put this thread in the wrong section, if so could i have it moved please?

The most important part is what kind of backups you are running ;)

Generally I've heard Intel, Samsung, and Crucial SSDs to be among the best. I've also got a Crucial m4 and it's served me well for almost a year now.

Intel's are nice as they also offer power off data loss prevention (as will the new crucial M5 drives).

I think i've decided on the samsung 830 at 170$
Will it fit in my np9150? I read somewhere that it was too short and it needed a bracket or something?
Do i need to buy something extra for it?
