We almost need a 'machine setup' FAQ put together (to link to the existing one for dual core hotfix for one, but also to tal about other drivers and setups?)

I just received my 5790 (wooo!) and am going to fire up a few games to know if its truly stable before my review (so far, holy awesome!) .. but I remember seeing a few posts describing how to increase the audio quaslity with afew specific settings. Can't find the posts now :/

    Any tips?

While still waiting for mine to arrive, I copied the settings part earlier ago... :D

Set the Environment option to Carpeted Hallway.
And if you want even more quality, set the Equalizer to Soft (as in Soft Rock)

Try it, it worked well for several people, using WinAmp especially.

In RealTek, is your microphone boost on? If so, if it is set too high, you will hear static and feedback. Mine is usually at 10db, 1 bar up from default."

    Awesome, thanks.

The Sager NP5790 .. it is very well constructed, sexy as hell, and is running amazingly. I just fired up Oblivion at 'high' (didn't try ultra high yet) at native 1900x1200 and it was fully playable. (Indoors at the very beginning, didn't have time to wander through to the outside yet.) 8700M card.

    You wil be pleased :)
