Any recommendations for a backpack for the P150EM? I need a good bag because it's pretty heavy with the provided laptop bag when you walk for a long time. I would preferably like it to have a bit more space for notebooks and other smaller stuff

I've used my North Face Surge backpack exclusively for the past 4 years. It's gone internationally with me in the mountains of Guatemala and has been what I use for school during the past four years. I'd strongly suggest looking at it as well.

I bought this backpack 2 years ago when I started traveling back and forth between the United States and Europe frequently. It's held up great, and has a SmartScan clear window thing that lets me run the laptop through the security scans without having to remove the laptop itself. It's comfortable and has a lot of space and is for laptops up to 17 inches. I have the 9150, but I have a Cooler Master laptop cooler that I carry with me and it fits in there perfectly. I really don't have any complaints.

I would go with a Timbuk2 Uptown Backpack. I like its style and it should be able to handle NP9150 well.

Another option would be a Slappa, but I think it looks more Alienware-ish than Timbuk2

I have a timbuk2 command for my NP9170 in the xl size. I really like it, but the laptop just barely fits. However, it should fit a NP9150 just fine with plenty of room for 2-3 textbooks. It is really durable, and there is actually dedicated space for the powerbrick versus needing to stuff it in with everything else. I don't know how big the powerbrick for the NP9150 is, but i really appreciate this feature with the one for the NP9170.

Wenger/SwissGear 4 lyfe. They have lifetime warranties so in the very very very small chance that something does happen to it, they'll replace it. I have two, one for 15" laptops and one for 18" and both have been wonderful. In my 18" one, I can fit my ASUS G73 (it's bigger than my NP9170), power brick, a pair of clothes, a USB controller, and my surround headphones in it along with miscellaneous work stuff, like radios.

I have a High Sierra Access that I really like. it has a laptop slot that is wide enough for the P150EM and it is quite sturdy and large enough to fit a lot of extra things in it. It's not going to win any beauty contests but it is spacious and comfortable.

Got Pegasus from SwissGear. It's a great bag and it seems very durable. The padding is really nice and the bag feels comfortable even when it's full of stuff. It can hold a lot of stuff and it is still slim when empty. The bottom is padded in a way that prevents the bag from falling down when its on the floor. Note that it looks better live than in the pictures. It can be a bit costly, but its worth every cent.

Check out the Spire Torq backpack. I've been using it daily for over 3 years now with my m570u and w860cu (roughly same dimensions as the p150em) and it has never failed me. I looked at options from swiss gear, targus, caselogic, you name it, and the spire was easily the best bag I had gotten my hands on. It has a really well cushioned laptop compartment, sturdy comfortable straps, and has plenty of storage pockets. But what I like most is that they do it all without making it look bulky and heavy like many of the other bags I looked at. It currently doubles as my day-hike bag.
The one negative would be the price tag, but it was the only one for me that went above and beyond what I wanted in a laptop bag. 3 years later, it's been through pretty much everything and it still performs as good as the day I got it. It was quite the investment for my lowly grad student budget but definitely money well spent imo.

Nobody has mentioned OGIO! I've been using one of their street gear bags for 8 years now and it's still rocking. Carry my machine in it every day, lasted through college, been across continents, survived many airplanes and more importantly the back of my car, plus a few new puppies. There may be better out there, but I haven't seen anything that's lasted as long as this.

If you want a large backpack with lots of room, I would suggest getting a Slappa M.A.S.K. Backpack with either the KOA Face or the High5 Face. I have one for my P170EM, & I can fit the laptop with the Cooler Master U2 cooling pad attached into the laptop compartment.

There's just tons of room. Build quality's great & although I've only used it for about two months so far, I think it's going to last for quite a while.
