Best deal on W230SS in EU

Hey guys,

Since the GS60 seams to be too loud for me it seams im sticking with Clevo again .

Im just wondering if anyone dug up a better deal than mysn.de or pcspecialist.co.uk are offering on a W230SS right now? And anyone got stock of them ATM?

And anyone got experience with pcspecialist? How are they? I know mysn.de is solid as i bought a couple notebooks from them already...

P.S.: Im looking at a config with i5-4210M (intend to undervolt too to run as cool as possible), FHD screen, 2x4GB 1600MHz DDR3 (or none if its expensive - i can buy it myself), AC 7260, 250GB EVO (can also buy myself if cheaper) and no OS (got tons of licences left).

 

check pcs misleading warranty as it will help you make up your mind

 

I know their warranty and im not too fussed over that... but the difference is a bit over 100€ for the same hardware vs mysn...
Are you saying they do business the same way they advertise their warranty though?
So still saying mysn is my best bet again ?

i have no idea as ive never bought from them.
only going by what has been reported on here but a couple of member in the past had upgraded to silver for £5 but that still only covered parts for 1 year even though the basic included for mysn is 2 years.

 

They dont even have the W230ST...

Ive read mixed reviews for them... the warranty really isnt a big issue with me though...

The price appears comparable (depending on a given day's conversion rate) to what is listed on Sager's site as well.

I've personally not found a price better (though could be) and their reviews look good.

 

He linked Scan UK, which does not have the W230SS, PCSPECIALIST does as i said in my OP, but what you linked is certainly not it. W230SS is a 13,3" laptop to begin with .

THIS is it... And yes, i havent found a better price, im just looking round if anyone else has. The service i cant speak of as i dont have personal experience with them as i do with most other EU (and some US) resellers...

Scan used to have 13.3 screen model. Don't know why they removed it from their site.

 

Maybe I'm mistaken but it looks like PCS has just dropped the price of the w230ss and there's also the option of the QHD+ screen

I ordered a barebone from them a while back when noone else would sell me one (everyone else would only sell a full system) since i had a lot of components laying around... but their prices arent really competitive now. Lowest i can find is Hawkforce.de and PCSPECIALIST and the best service ive had was definetely at mySN so far .

If you now also consider to order from Germany then those guys @ Hawkforce.de also ship with a custom version of my BIOS Mod covered by their warranty.

I am choosing between this W230SS, 15'6" Sager and Y50. If I am going to purchase w230 then I gonna need a separate screen for gaming. 13'3 is too small. But on the other side the design is cool and it's very portable compared to 15'6" models from Sager. It' a really tough choice!

 

Hmm still no answer from mySN, got a PM the next day here, telling me to write directly on their email and still no reply from there after a day and a half...
Guess service isnt as good as it used to be now that theyve grown so much ?

I cant read danish and it doesnt look much cheaper from what i gathered ...

Thats rather strange seeing as it was sent on 2014-05-15 13:03 and an automatic response confirming the receipt of the email was also sent back to me the same minute - i misscalculated a little - it was strictly speaking just a bit over a day at the time of posting, but certainly not 5 hours prior to your posting .

I guess the reply is still lost in limbo like my mail was...

Ill make sure to use that in the future (id call but intl rates are a rip off here, i dont have a problem with either german or english though, ive chatted with your folks at the .de office a few times already and the reason i prefer dealing with them is simple - im just used to them from my past dealings).

I didnt mean any offense, but you have to admit, the company has grown a great deal over the last two decades and that changes things at least a little, i didnt mean to imply the service got bad, its was still the best ive experienced last year when i bought my last Clevo from you, just not as instant and personal when i dealt with your copany almost... a decade ago now that i think about it . I might have phrased it a bit indelicately in my previous post ...

No worries! The company has certainly grown an awful lot in the last 10+ years

I asked the Sales guys in the German office and they said that the email was received at 2pm their time, so not far off the 5 working hours that I mentioned - they told me this as they were replying to your email so I don't know what happened to the reply. Will have them re-send it to you.
