    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone else had a sporadic connectivity problems (like the connection will just drop randomly for a minute or two) with the centrino advanced 6235. I have been following the threads on intel, it appears many people have the same problem and so far they haven't come up with any solutions yet.

The problems seems to be specific to intel drivers. I have been getting the problems from 15.4.x onwards. As of now, I have uninstalled all intel wireless software and drivers and am using the stock windows drivers (14.8.8.75) which doesn't have these problems.

Anyone using intel drivers doesn't have this connection dropping problem?

I had problems with it once I installed an mSATA SSD in my NP8230. Not sure if it was a coincidence or maybe the Plextor mSATA uses up too much power. Not sure. But I sent the entire laptop in for RMA since I had other problems as well.

I don't seem to have this problem using the latest drivers. Are these dropped connections on one particular network or every network?

Edit: Possibly related, I had to uninstall my WiDi drivers because they made my HotKey app not function. But without the WiDi drivers, everything is working fine.

It seems to affect only wireless-n networks, the others work fine. I am not sure if WiDi plays a role, the connection problems is present only on intel drivers though.

I have tried most of the drivers from 15.4.x to 16.1.1 and all of them had the connectivity issue. There was once I rolled back my drivers to some 15.x.x and it seemed to work but I did not memorize the driver version. I am currently on 14.8.8.75 (stock windows drivers).

I note that this problem persists since last year, I initially thought it was some interference at home but more and more people seem to be having the same issues.

Try the drivers from Sager and see if those help vs direct from Intel.
