I have a Sager np8250-S with gtx 780m and was wanting to hook up a 120hz monitor to get rid of screen tearing issues I'm getting. Any suggestions? Looking at a BenQ but wanted some feedback to what some of you Clevo owners maybe using, thanks.

Well to be honest you can widen it to what monitor is good for any user since the machine going to it makes little difference if you know what res and refresh rate you want.

You asked what's good for clevo owners but what's good for a clevo owner would be good for anyone else. So when doing your own research you should just be looking for the best 120hz monitor, this will apply to laptops and desktops of all brands.

No you will want to use the display port.

I use and have been very happy with Asus monitors. The VG248QE is a 144hz 1ms screen making it a great option for gaming.

The 27" version is good too if you need a larger display.

XL2420TE would be another good monitor.

Basically any monitor that has a refresh rate over 60 you need to make sure has display port as that is only port on these machines that can do over 60 because we don't have DVI.

Unless you buy an active DP -> dual link adapter which can be a little expensive.

I've yet to see one that doesn't have tons of people saying it broke a few months later.

The price of most of them also is often half the cost of a monitor lol

While the tech of them and concept is cool they just don't seem to last because how they work.

Even the Apple branded ones have issues.
