    Hello every one,

Since our Np 8660 comes with 7.1 surround system(i wonder how to use it as we just have one single audio jack outlet) i was wondering what speaker system out there is best suited for my laptop. Does any one have any suggestions for me :)

any speakers that has support for coaxial SPDIF (not optical) will be able to take advantage of the internal sound card.

What do you mean by don't benefit from the sound card? If you are using just a single stereo jack in the headphone socket (green, left hand end of 3 audio jacks), then you will only have stereo sound, you need a digital coaxial spdif cable (NOT optical) into the spdif output port (black, right hand end), and a set of speakers that will take coaxial spdif

could you please be more specific and give me one or 2 models as reference so that i know what im looking for.
I know that the right most port is the s/pdifbut when i plug in my speakers they dont seem to work.
I am guessing i need to be looking for a s/pdif input capable speakers
could any one give me a few speakers and may be a few links to get me started
    thank you

p.s a basic google search only gives me home theaters (which im not intersted in). i want a 7.1 computer speaker system which can take full advantage of my inbuilt sound card
