So far it looks like I'll be buying from one of the following three places:
    xoticpc.com
    powernotebooks.com
    sagernotebook.com

The notebook costs the same ($1469) from each place.
Are there deals/coupons I could use for any of them?
Which offers the best customer service?
Which is likely to have the NP2090 in stock the soonest?
    Thanks

#1 youre going to go in the same line reguardless of the reseller.
#2 go with xotic or powernotebooks for better customer service and 2 years of more labor warrenty.

Both Powernotebooks.com and XoticPC.com are good resellers, you'll just have to choose which one to pick. You'll get the same excellent customer service and warranty from both, and keep in mind that both resellers also have great reputation with us in the forums and people who've ordered from them before. :)

If you live in California however, Powernotebooks may be a better choice because the laptop has to be shipped from Sager Notebooks to Powernotebook's warehouse in Nevada, then shipped back to California in order to avoid sales tax (that's what happened to me, it's good to avoid $150 out of nowhere :)).

I could be wrong but XoticPC allows more customization of the the Sager NP2090. I will sell the ram and HD and use my own upgrades so I want the basic config on XoticPC which I can not duplicate on Powernotebooks.

Also reading Justin's posts and emails I have determined he may be the nicest person on planet earth. No disrespect to the nice guys at Powernotebooks intended.

PCTorque also sells the 2090 and depending on your rig probably cheaper. they have very good ratings, I contacted CS through email-they're very helpful/responsive, and can ship to CA exempt from sales tax.
They don't have as many options though (example-no 1x1GB stick available), don't have order tracking through log-in, and don't keep in touch with customers online (they dont have their own forum and do not seem to use this one, either)

Sales tax in California only applies if you buy the Sager from Sager Notebooks themselves, or arrange for your reseller to ship directly from the Sager Warehouse in California to your home somewhere in California. Otherwise, it'll ship to your reseller, who will then in turn ship back to California to avoid sales tax.

Unless you mean PCTorque pays for sales tax, Powernotebooks and XoticPC does the same thing.

If you buy the Sager though PowerNotebooks or XoticPC then you have that reseller on your side if there's a need for service down the road. If you buy the Sager through Sager, you are alone in all dealings with Sager. I cannot point to a specific post but I remember some people having a hard time interacting with Sager directly. My opinion is that buying through PNB or Xotic buys you someone who really cares about satisfying you.

I myself bought my Sager NP2090 at PowerNotebooks and I am utterly satisfied with all my interactions with them.

I found that www.pctorque.com also has the NP2090, cheaper too.

I ended up ordering mine from xoticpc though.

What lemur said is an advantage, you can never have too many people on your side. Most of do not want an OS installed. I have always however found Sager itself responsive (use email) and capable for repairs even on a used machine I purchased off eBay. I just mention this to dispel any unintended suggestion that Sager is somehow unwilling to support it's product. There can be glitches and unhappy experiences with any company or product but I have never had this with Sager.

My next Sager will come from one of these excellent resellers however now that I know about them.

PCTorque is cheaper right now but there has been some mysteries around this reseller in the past and I'd like to know about their stability and responsiveness. Notice how you can not tell what battery is included ... odd.

I'd say PC Torque isn't very good in the six-month satisfaction grades, according to Reseller Ratings.com, so that could be something to consider as well.
