Recently, I was trying to remove the gpu screws to repaste, but done a horrible job and maby of them are stuck and completely defaced. I have already ordered some replacement screws but does anyone know the most efficient way to unscrew them? I can post some pictures soon.

Try to do something like this, using some tap to fill the gap and use the right size screw driver

Along with the above suggestion, use a nice sharp new screwdriver if possible, and quite a bit of pressure to dig in as much as you can. Try not to strip them any more, use whatever you have left to try to get them out.
You can try to drill the heads off to get the computer apart, but then the screw bases would be stuck in there forever. -
Try and file the channels in the screw deeper
Drilling out the screw is last resort since it's so fine.
WD40 / penetrating fluid will loosen the screw's grip and will reduce the force needed to shift it but will also lubricate the screw head where you're trying to grip...
If it's the X bracket on a MXM GPU try and remove that first (a *little bit* of heat will soften the adhesive) before using loads of force or creating lots of metal fragments or you could just buy a new one, but x brackets are not as cheap as you'd think, I can't find one for less than $30usd pp -

The nuke from orbit approach is filing a groove for a flathead to get.

I stripped a JIS screw in my laptop (which I thought was a normal phillips screw). Tried for hours to get it out.
**Soldiering a hard wire (end of an old resistor) to the screwhead, letting it cool for a minute, then using some pliers to twist the wire/blob worked. You will get best adhesion if you clean the screwhead and use some flux (ventalate well). See video below.
** There is an elegant Japanese tool that might work

You could try grinding in a new slot but that is tough and you risk getting metal bits everywhere shorting out the entire system.

Mostly the particles are too small to cause issues (you can blow them away as you work) but it is the last resort method.
Best way to remove stripped screws?
