    Quick Q.

Is there an option to buy a better keypad and a fingerprint reader from any dealers out there?

Mine has the horizontal lines on the keypad making it a little abrasive when scrolling my finger vertically upwards or downwards.

Also I don't have a fingerprint reader and would like to upgrade to this for security purposes.

    TIA to all replies.

I'm gonna assume you mean touch pad, not keypad. I haven't seen alternate versions available but you could try contacting your reseller for a replacement.

Which model computer do you have?

    Thnx for the reply hutsady.

Yes it's the touchpad. It's liveable that's 4 sure but do you know where I can get the fingerprint reader from?

Anyone willing to sell one with international shipping for a P170HM?

    TIA. :)

While there is no "upgrade" to the touchpad officially, people have had good luck applying screen protectors to reduce excess friction. Personally, the touchpad on my system was a bit abrasive until I used it after handling some hot wax. Now it's as smooth as butter, going on three years past the event.
