Just installed the bigfoot install disk.

Now everytime my system boots - thebigfoot network manager pops up and requests a speedscan.

is this normal or is there a way not to have this pop every time i boot up

I had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest version of the software from the website. Problem is gone now. I have no clue what caused the problem.

I keep getting high latency issues with the bigfoot 1103 wifi card. stays at about 50 ms and suddenly gives spikes to +5000ms for a couple of minutes.

My internet provider is 70mbit download/ 5mbit upload, so I adjusted that in the bigfoot network settings, but the problem persists. have full receivebars in my windows taskbar, anyone?

Nearly all the issues we've seen with the Killer cards have been caused by access points / routers that didn't do too well with the MIMO features of the bigfoot cards.

any way I could test that you know about?

as for now i checked and the bigfoot card has 811.n support and my modem(internal wireless) was default on 811.bgn

as for ghz, the bigfoot supports 2.4-3ghz but on the modem I can only choose between: 2.4ghz/5ghz/2.4ghz & 5ghz..so for now I left this on 2.4ghz.

anything else I could check? dont see a MIMO option atm(what is the full term?)

Here is a screenshot on device manager. This driver is for the 1202-N card but it installs on the 1103 and 1102 cards

as for now I allready see my signal reception is 100% continuously(going from 70 to 100 and back). dno if it's due to the 811.bgn->811.n adjustment, or just because of the driver update. Time will tell if it helped. Thanks in advance!

Same here Tried uninstall - reinstall latest version of 1103 still same problem Bigfoot manager keeps popuping up and requests a speed test.

I even tried installing the 1202 driver same thing. Do not try this driver - screwed up my system on the uninstall and now 1103 driver has issues on the install.

forcing me to reinstall win 7 from the beginning

That popup only happens when you disconnect the power cord off the laptop. The way to do it is do the test and cancel out. This was happening on my laptop when I was troubleshooting it.

i guess ill ask my question here since im also looking to install the newest bigfoot card in my laptop. currently i have the 1102. i am looking to upgrade to the 1103, as i understand it the 1202 has the same speeds as the 1102 just with bluetooth.

do i already have all 3 antennas for the 1103 installed or do i kneed an additional one?

Yes, the third antenna should already be included in the Sager NP9150/9170 models.
