    I tried searching but couldnt find anything although i recall reading something about adding your own BD-R in this unit

    Is the recommended one the Panasonic UJ-240 ?

    anyone know which one Sager actually ships with their units?

    Yes we do recommend the Panasonic UJ-240. This is one of the drives that Sager ships in the models.

    Of note, any slim blu-ray drive will work- there isn't a required model for the machine.
