    Blue Screen

    I have Laptop Model D9T and product code D900T. I get the blue screen after i complete installing XP Professional OS and reboot.i get a blue screen .The blue screen says
    ***Stop:0x0000008E (0xC0000005),0xF7418c1E,0xf6fBE7E4,0x00000000)
    *** setupdd.sys-Adress f7418c1E base at F73EC000,Datestamp 41107c8f

    I dont know do i need to update the BIOS or it it a faulty hardware causing this problem:these are the values below which ,i have noted down when the system boots(the Bios information)
    The bios Revision :V146 1.00.04
    KBC/EC Firmware revision 1.00.03
    VBios Revision:5 41.02.39.38-03/17/05
    Bios Version 1.00.0.33

    Any help will be greately appreciated

    Yeah, I would check out Microsoft's support page. This sort of problem is something that you may not want to just be messing with based on what people think on a forum, so definitely check out that great link that Tinderbox put up for ya...

    Make sure that your RAM and HDD are free from errors.

    1) For RAM, use MemTest86+ to scan for errors.
    2) For HDD, go to START > CMD > CHKDSK C: F (say Yes, restart)
