I am setting up my new NP6350 with the base 'WiFi/BT Combo' and am having issues discovering Bluetooth devices with Win7 Ultimate. I initially added a Dell BT mouse and it worked until the machine went to sleep and it has not worked since. I have tried re-installing the 'Combo BT Driver' from the Sager provided Win7 disk and downloaded the latest one from Sagers site to no avail.
Under Device Manager (Bluetooth Radios section) I have removed the following deices a couple of times:
- Generic Bluetooth Adapter
- Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
All looks good in Device Manager, no question marks at all. Odd thing is if I disable the 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' in Device Manager and re-enable it, the Dell BT mouse I had earlier added shows under Bluetooth devices in CP for a brief moent and then it goes away.
The BT radio is on. I have cycled it of and oon and seen the BT Radio disappear/re-appear from Device Manager.
I tried to add a dongle MSI BT apapter I use on my XP box and it installed fine but again BT devices are not detected in the pairing scan.
Any ideas on where I could look to fix this issue?

i think default is off so after sleep it will need activating again with Fn + F12

I have turned the BT radio on and off a hundred times since trying to troubleshoot this issue. I can no longer add a device to BLuetooth and the one I had added in the past is no longer functional.

might be worth contacting your suppliers support as they will know as they built it.

I am restoring an image (Win7 Ultimate) that was the base OS and initial Clevo drivers. I know that image worked so I am not going to mess around trying to pry things out of the registry and such. If I continue to have issues I will contact my reseller for support.
I am running Ultimate and they shipped it with Home Premium - I also have that image I could slam back on if need be to 'normalize' the box back to factory defaults.
I honestly did not think BT was still problematic - I have used it in XP and Vista boxes in the past, those have their fair share of issues for sure. -
Back to base Win7 Ultimate image seems to have works so that confirm the HW is OK which is good.
I confirmed that when the system comes out of sleep it turns off the BT radio which means it is pretty much useless for a BT keyboard or mouse. I really only intend to use the BT with my Wacom tablet therefore it was important to get this issue sorted out. -

I had this problem and disabled windows ability to turn off the bluetooth (either its own device or the wireless card if it is built in) to save power in device manager and it went away.

Cool. Where exactly is that option? I have not come across it in my travels and I cannot login to that machine today as I am offsite.

Go to device manager, find your bluetooth device. Right click it and go into properties. There should be a tab called "power management" where you can find the settings.
If it's not there, try it on your wireless adaptor.
