Hi, I recently received my np2090. I took a c++ course and installed a bunch of crap compilers that seemed to edit all my system files. I decided to screw it and instead of waisting my time trying to delete all the stuff, I just reformatted. Well everything went great, and all the drivers worked for everythign else... EXCEPT Bluetooth. My bluetooth driver can't detect a bluetooth device it says. In my device manager it shows no bluetooth device, but two "uknown" devices. Any help is much apreciated.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Try updating the driver manually...right click the unknown devices and let windows find the correct driver on Sager CD. If there is BT software in your programs list (add-remove programs) remove them first.
I installed that way in XP and BT is working w/o problems.

All of them, one by one...it won't show you which device it is, but windows will find the correct driver for it.

I tried doing as suggested and it couldnt find the drivers on the disk.

When trying to use the setup on the bluetooth driver from the disk it just keeps saying preparing installation and then closes and restarts a few times untill it says it cant find a device.

mhhh...which OS? Maybe there are some drivers missing...try Bizcom-us to check if you have them all.

well i fixed it. Apparently what happened is before I reformatted I had the compal wireless select switch software installed and I made it so only wireless is enabled(for battery life). So apparently that setting was hardcoded into the switch itself, not the software and it caried over from the reformat. I reinstalled the WSS software and switched it to both wireless and bluetooth and it works fine now.

Thanks for sticking with me though!
