    Hi guys.

I just did a clean install on my np2090. everything went well except for the bluetooth. it tells me that no local bluetooth device was detected and some other similar errors show up. its driving me crazy.

any ideas? i have searched all over the place but still havent found a fix. ive also noticed that the blinking purple led beside the wireless does not even show anymore. thanks in advance for any help.

Are you using XP or Vista.

For XP there's an update required for bluetooth. I just installed bluetooth using a USB dongle on my old XP laptop. I had to get the patch from Microsoft.

actually this was the dongle with the "Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000" (that name still cracks me up). The installation CD-ROM went to the internet and specifically obtained the update.

solved the problem. i installed vista 32 and i totally forgot that the wireless select switch can be accessed thru the icon tray. i kept on clicking on the wss and nothing was showing until i noticed the icon on the icon tray and i just remembered going on it once when i first received my laptop.

pretty annoying. oh well.. i can only laugh at myself now. :D

    thanks for the help guys!
