I ordered my 9260 this week and I'm currently researching bluetooth devices to use with it. Specifically a mouse and a set of stereo headphones.

For the mouse I'm thinking the Microsoft Laser Mouse 8000.

For the headphones I'm thinking of the Plantronics pulsar 590E.

So I'm curious if anyone has tried using bluetooth devices with their Sager. If so which ones and what's your experience (good or bad).

I imagine the NP9260 ships with a very similar software package to the NP5790, so I believe that my response is valid.

I've successfully transferred files to and from my phone, and I've used it as an Internet connection because Comcast was horrible for a few weeks. It works pretty flawlessly. I didn't even have to install my phone's annoying software package. I've never had a better working bluetooth enabled computer.

My fear is lagging while gaming. It appears that bluetooth mouse lag is minimized in mice where you can control the "low power" mode. Apparently the microsoft mouse has a "performance slider" in the software settings that can keep it pumping in mouse data (at the expense of battery life). So I'm confident that will be ok.

The headphones are a different story. I've read again and again there's up to a 1 sec delay using the stereo audio profile. Some headphones seem to have this like the Motorola ones. Some don't such as the iogear set. I've read some bad reviews on the PZlantronics brand now, so I'm leaning towards the iogear pair.

All of these bluetooth headphones have a microphone and the ability to pair with your cell phone. You can be paired with your computer and phone at same time. So you could be gaming and then answer a phone call by pressing a button on the side of the headset. Sounds pretty sweet.

If anyone has any experience with a pair of bluetooth headphones please post :).

I also fear lag so I went with a VX Revolution which uses Wirless USB instead of Bluetooth. I gave my impressions here:

I noticed you've bought your headset already but anyway...

I have bought a Motorola HT820. I use it only to listen to audio while exercising so I have no clue how good it would be with a cell phone or gaming. As far as delays go, which driver you use is very important. I do not know how it is in Windows but in Linux, I can put a movie on without any noticeable delay between the audio and the video. I say the driver is important because I used two different drivers in Linux and one caused a huge desynchronization. The second one worked like a charm. (I don't know which options exist for Windows and can't help with that.)

Apart from that I use the Bluetooth on my NP2090 to sync with my Treo 650. Works great. And I also use my Treo as a Bluetooth remote control with the help of a software called BlueRemote.

I would expect a NP9260 to work just as well as the NP2090.

I received the Microsoft "wireless laser mouse 8000" today (jeez what a cornball name).

Anyway it simply rocks. I don't have my 9260 yet (later this month maybe). So I connected it to my old Dell Inspiron 8100 with the bluetooth USB dongle.

Man it's sweet. No delay or lag at all. I have high hopes when my 9260 shows up :).

I don't have the headphones yet.

Ok, I received my Bluetooth headphones today. Pretty nice (Cardo S-2's). I tried them on my old Dell 8100 with the Bluetooth USB dongle that came with the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse.

Unfortunately the Microsoft Bluetooth stack doesn't support the stereo music profile.

So this begs the question: What bluetooth stack is available on the 9260 with the XP Driver?

Just curious, do you use wireless or wired internet? Wondering if the wireless devices get interference from the internet.

Wireless internet. No interference that I've noticed.
