And it is really getting on my nerves especially while gaming. Every 5 minutes or so it stops responding for 5-10 seconds at a time

Mouse is a microsoft touch. I've tried going into device manager, going into the network card properties and unchecking the box allowing the computer to turn it off to save power, but the problem still persists

Update the drivers, had same problem with all Bluetooth devices, make sure the power management is off and driver is up to date fixed it.

Are you just using a mouse or Bluetooth headset too? I had issues with the XFI software

Make sure your bluetooth/wifi device is not set to turn off to save power in device manager.

Have you checked to see if a wired mouse does the same thing, just to make sure it is a bluetooth problem.

Not specifically a wired mouse, however I have an older one with a plug in wireless dongle which operates as intended
