After installing the new Bios for the D901C (version .20 and .12N for the keyboard) my Bluetooth doesn't start anymore at boot. Everytime I have to press Fn-F12 to start it. It is not that bad and it works perfectly, but I wonder if I can get it back as before.![]()

Any idea? I goggled a bit but I couldn't find any help.
-
i thought bluetooth default was set to off.
-
Actually before the update it was starting at boot. I never had to press FN +F12

Do you have the most recent Clevo bluetooth drivers? One for XP and one for _Vista 64-bit were released on October 27, 2008.
-
I try it and I will let you know if it works...
-
No, it didn't work. I still have to press Fn-F12 to start the service.
-
Did you get any sort of a readme.txt file with the BIOS upgrade that explained the reason for the upgrade? It's possible that bluetooth being enabled at start was causing problems (e.g., it might have been waking systems up from sleep/hibernate or something like that) so they may have simply disabled it from starting up automatically at boot.

No, I didn't get any txt. But another member of this forum has installed the same bios .20 and he doesn't have the same problem.

Is anything showing up in your event logs, and is the bluetooth driver still set to autorun at startup (i.e., is it in the list of apps that get executed at startup)?
-
Yes, the drivers are set on the list of apps that get executed at startup.

I find really strange that nobody is complaining about this problem. After updating the bios to .22 (the last so far that actually should solve this problem), the bluetooth starts as soon I put on the D901C, but then it stops when the boot is starting. After booting, I have always to press F12 for bluetooh to start.
