I cant seem to make it work. I activate it using FN + F12, it has its windows drivers, loads into my taskbar but when I try to send files, the phone cant find the laptop. Sometimes it finds it, but sometimes not. And even when it finds it, it cant send anything.

I made my laptop visible in the bluetooth options. Still nothing - phone cant find it. My phone is SE W995.

Are there any official bluetooth drivers for the Intel 6230? Maybe the ones im using are incompatible or something....windows installed them automatically when i first activated the bluetooth using FN+F12...

    Any help would be appretiated.

Double check your device manager and make sure you have the drivers properly loaded and enabled for this device.

had problems on older models as well.
as long as the bluetooth icon shows in taksbar (ive saved mine to desktop as its easier) right click it and it should give 2 options, send or receive file. click receive and then sent the image from your phone.

when you activate it with fn & f12 if it pops up drivers or software to load just close these, normaly 3 clicks will close them.

let me know if it works as if it doesnt then i have no idea :(

I can see 2 things in device manager:
    1) Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
    2) Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)

When I try to update the drivers, it says "the best driver software is already installed"

Now I made the following - succeeded in finding the notebook with the phone, tried to receive a photo, but the phone said "bluetooth connection failed". Why is the connection failing???

P.S. i can send stuff TO the phone. But I cannot receive stuff from it on the laptop!!!

I set it, yes. I have read what you wrote. Every time when I wanna receive, I set it to receive. Phone finds the laptop, then 3 sec waiting and phone says "bluetooth connection failed". Laptop doesent receive anythin in the end.

Another thing to note, is thahttp://forum.notebookreview.com/images/Notebook/editor/separator.gift some phones are "locked" or have been gimped by the manufacturer to prevent some features. This was the case with blue tooth back a few years ago...

I haven't checked or tried it recently however.

What kind of phone do you have?

Sony Ericsson W995, Ive unlocked it (brown status) last year and deleted the pre-installed games and added new accoustics (Dolby Rodriguez ones).

The phone itself works perfectly with other phones per bluetooth.

Only issue is when sending to laptop.

Downloading drivers from the link above, brb to see if they work.

P.S. My internet is full of epicness, 38mb/s download and here I am downloading this 40mb file with 2kb/s. Go figgure...............
