Lately I've been trying to boot my P150HM in UEFI mode without sucess. I've read all around the internet and the little information available is confusing and contradictory, some saying that it will automatically boot an UEFI partition if present, others saying "Legacy USB support" has to be disabled, and other outright saying it's impossible. Since the computer uses an AMI Aptio firmware it is supposed to have UEFI in it whether it is accessible or not.
Does someone know anything about it? Maybe someone who has some more knowledge of the inner workings of the BIOS like Prema could enlighten us all.
Thanks

I think the system is too old, you likely dont have any options in the stock vbios, there may be some in the unlocked ine but it just may not support it.

Well, the Aptio ROM clearly has support for UEFI booting as can be seen from AMI's website an these AMIBCP captures of my ROM:
If you mean the BIOS, the yes the captures you see in AMIBCP are options which aren't shown when you boot to the BIOS on this computer, somehow CLEVO has locked these advanced tabs, and they aren't unlockable with AMIBCP although the settings in there are effective. -

Sorry been talking a lot about video card modding, I meant sBios. Prema is working on it but has a bricked board at the moment.

Ok, it seems I'll have to wait (maybe be forever
).
In any case thanks for the replies. -

That's not a problem, I know UEFI booting is nice but with the right setup you can get normal booting pretty quick.

I know, but it's just a shame that it is there and I just can't tap into it just because someone decided to lock it. Remember that intel specified that Sandy Bridge required UEFI and some bands are doing weird things in order to make as hard as possible to use it.
Also, being a computer engineering student I wanted to actually experiment with UEFI, I bought this laptop precisely because it was so customisable and high-end, and unfortunately I probably wont be able to afford a new one for some years
.
Well, I'm just a bit frustrated -

Well prima should get round to it given time since we wont be getting a new series any time soon.
