Hello all I just received a new clevo W24AEU it has 16gb of ram and an intel I7 3630QM CPU. I have a samsung 128gb ssd I want to use as my boot drive and a western digital 1tb drive for storage. The issue i am having is when i install windows 7 on either hard drive the installation finishes without a hitch then I get to my desktop and within 30sec the computer shuts down and gives me a bios boot loop. no beeps or anything, it shows the bios image, goes to the next screen with a blinking cursor in the top left then the screen goes black and then back to the bios image.

the hard drive I tried to boot with was set as primary boot device and everything. What the heck is going on???

i know this may be redundant, but do you have a modified or up to date BIOS?

Everything is right out of the box so what ever RJ tech put on it is what it has, I was able to get it if I installed windows 7 onto the sad using my thinkpad then just install the drive into my clevo. So everything is working now still has me puzzled though but its 4:35am and time for bed.

That was a smart workaround. Still though, that sounds a bit weird. If you managed to install windows ok and then it would kick to the bios screen, it seems the computer was either trying to load a service or driver in the first 30 seconds which crashed it. i was going to recommend a safe mode install to avoid the system loading most services and drivers, but it sounds like you have have everything under control.

I'd run a memcheck and a CPU test like intel burn test to check your system is 100% stable.
