Hey peoples, I had a few questions on the "branding" that different resellers will put on the Sager/Clevo laptops. Can anyone describe if the branding is just a sticker on the machine, or is it a completely different casing? Also besides on the LCD lid, are there other locations for branding? I'm looking at purchasing the NP9170/P170EM model. Thanks!

For the most part, Clevo reseller such as Sager, Malibal, Eurocom, OriginPC, Falcon Northwest, etc. just slapped their branding on a Clevo barebone. Main difference between them may be the selection of components used, warranty support, customer service, certain exclusive features (like a paint job), and pricing.

The branding is mostly only a sticker. I believe that if they do have a custom BIOS launch screen it shows up, other than that you can choose to remove that sticker yes.

Its basically a sticker as others have mentioned. We do suggest keeping it on if you ever want to sell the computer down the road as removing the branding can make it look more generic instead of having brand recognition.
