its kinda hard to explain. but every time i reboot. there brightness changes for a while. ( few seconds then go back again ) as seen in the video. the issue start when i try to format the notebook ( clean the drive ) then its stuck at 30%. after that i forced restart the notebook. that shows me a page from the bios that ask me there a request to delete everything or cancel. i choose cancel. then the notebook restart, and the issue started.
i installed new clean OS ( using usb stick ). and Newest VGA drive. the issue still persist. but when i switch to intel onboard vga ( using the control panel ) theres no issue.
anyone have any idea how to fix this ?

What model laptop is is?
-
should be Clevo P650RS ? it come with i7 and 1070 without g-sync
im not really sure the clevo model. -
What about the non-Clevo model number?
-
its S15 from aftershock pc.
as for sager number, np-8153 its last year model. -
Does the issue occur if you use the original NVidia graphics driver?
-
yeah. but not when i run MShybird with Intel driver.
-
hmm... not sure if its the bios though :| , my reseller doenst reply my emails anymore today.
-
Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your computer. What is the switching mode of the GPUs? Is it Optimus, Intel only or nVidia only?
-
it just that the reseller didnt reply to my emails.
its intel only -> doenst have the brightness issue
nvidia only -> have issue -
I see... So, if you use the reseller provided nvidia driver does the issue occur?
-
same issue.
even using the newest driver also have the same issue. -
To be honest, the screen turning white looks like the screen switches off and then back to the GPU. Laptop screens often turn white if they are powered on but not plugged in.
When you say that you clean installed the OS, it seems like you used a USB stick supplied by the reseller because their logo seems to be in place of the Windows boot screen. Is the USB a factory reset image of the hard drive contents? -
i downloaded the windows10 creator update iso. then burn it to the usb stick.
and installed it through double clicking the usb. when prompt i choose to leave nothing and delete everything. -
So, you didn't boot from the USB stick?
-
i didnt, i just double click it.
-
I think that is still an "upgrade" installation, but I'm not 100% sure. Do you have any access to the original installation? Recovery discs, or similar?
-
i have it as usb stick. and this time i run it through boot. still same.
i guess i'll just wait for my reseller to reply the email.
2 days. just reinstalling stuff. tiring hahhahaha -
My opinion -> It is not issue at all. Why does it bother you? Not a big deal...
-
how is that not bothering ? -

As long as you can run GPU-intensive applications with no issues, then there's likely no hardware failure just around the corner.
Do you have the "adaptive brightness" feature enabled in Windows? -

but when i switch to discrete, the problem shows up. -
the problem that I tried the newest driver 384.67 and the one that come with the cd. which are really old probably.
now I'm not sure what driver version should I test. -
-
-
what i tried :
- different nvidia driver
- fresh installation of windows 10
- adaptive brightness off -
