Has anyone had their card reader broken in their Clevo?

Mine has had the spring that holds the card in broken, so I'm using a USB card reader at the moment.

I tried to access it by taking the bottom case off, but there doesn't appear to be any accessible area.

You would have to break down the entire case to get to it. Do you know how it broke, by any chance?

Is it difficult to break down the entire case? I believe there's a screw that I have to get to that's on the keyboard side, but I don't see any way to open it. I have the WA50SJQ, but from comparing photos with the W650SJ, the placement of ports and hardware all seem to be the same.

I have no idea. I bought this laptop about 6 weeks ago on vacation.

I'm not acquainted with the WA50SJQ, but if it's similar to the W650Sx, then they're no: they're not "difficult" to break down, although you are looking at spending a good amount of time doing so if you've never serviced one before, as well as keeping track of several screws. Once the top case comes off, you should have access to the card reader.

If you're under warranty, though, you're better off having it inspected. If it needs serviced/replaced, you might void your coverage by opening it.
