Build times!

So, my fellow Sager purchasers, what's your current build time?

My order was finally sent into production (phase 2) on the 24th of April.

Who's out there waiting patiently?

What day did your computer enter phase 2?

Also, anybody out there that has there laptop already, how many days between phase 2 began to when you got the email it had shipped?

I ordered an NP9130 and can't wait!

 

Waiting Patiently (Or Very Very impatiently), No Idea what the production status is even though I requested it this weekend. So used to delays now I will probably end up with a new 9173 next year.

 

Who did you purchase it from? You are about out of the 7 day window window that most resellers give for build times. It should be really soon unless there are delays.

 

Ugh. I was hoping a lot of people were holding off due to Ivy Bridge. Mine went into production on the 27th and I was hoping it would ship by Friday :-/

Mine went into production on the 19th but was on hold waiting for the Ivy Bridge, I was told it should be shipped by the end of the week. The impatience is rising

 

Wow now that's good customer service to know when it went into production and an estimated shipping date. Who did you order from?

If you want an update on your order, use your reseller's online chat feature. Most have it.. That way you've got em trapped and they have to give you some kind of answer

I was told they are currently taking on the longer side of 7-12 business days. I'm hoping it ships by Friday...

hehe, I guess most of us getting the 7970m won't be able to enjoy the midnight play for Diablo 3.

 

I'm hoping mine shows up in time for Diablo III. I still need to install my SSD that's sitting next to me and Windows before I can even dream of installing Diablo iii. I'm off to play some D2...

I wish we could get a more accurate ETA, but them's the breaks.

 

Ordered mine on the 16th of April, Paid on the 17th, went to production on 18th, and first full build day was 19th. On the 30th, I received email from Xotic asking to confirm they could upgrade CPU from 2670QM to 3610QM. Confirmed on 30th and confirmation of confirmation from Xotic on May 1st.

Now just waiting for shipping date.

Ordered mine on April 8th on Reflex Notebook, they were waiting for Ivy Bridge so hopefully ships by mid next week I guess.

it almost seems like a luxury to be able to get a laptop in 2 weeks. Im with tigerwolfe, waiting for the p270wm to be released =/

 

I ordered my NYX1712 (P170EM) from Mythlogic on the 18th of April and got my order delivered yesterday morning May 2nd to my friend's house. during this process they had burn tested the laptop and found a faulty RAM chip so the laptop went through two rebuilds.

I was running a really tight schedule because I live all the way here in Madagascar and I needed the laptop delivered to my friend in Georgia Atlanta by the 4th of May max limit who will in turn bring it here to me by plane. They stayed with me all through the process of the laptops' build phase and was always there to answer my questions be it mail or Live chat. All I can say is that their service is STELLAR!

I'm just waiting for my friend to arrive so I can do a full review of the laptop and some pics.

 

I ordered mine (NP9170) on the 19th of April. Went into phase 2 (build/burn in/QA phase) on the 20th. Got my upgrade email for the 3610QM on April 30th. It is being delivered today May 3 .

 

nice!! I can't wait to bench and do work on mine. It's my first Sager based laptop

 

Is the 3610qm a free upgrade on the np9150?

At least on the one I'm getting from Reflex Notebook.

 

It's "free" in the sense that I paid for the i7-2670QM, which is the same cost, and they are putting a i7-3610QM instead. So it's a "free" small speed boost only because originally I was going to have the older processor.

 

So did anyone get any shipping news updates today?

Which, btw, is the late may ETA supposed to be the ship date or the production start date? :x

 

I'm pretty sure I read the some of the resellers should have the cards on the 22nd, but I don't have a source and could be remembering wrong..

 

Ordered April 9th, confirmed the 11th. Still hasn't been built yet- I understand there are delays, but it still kinda sucks. Malibal customer service has been stellar through this ordeal though.

 

I'm still holding out hope for tomorrow. I wonder how long it will take to ship, too.

I'm looking to purchase a Sager/Clevo shortly as my first notebook. The thought of waiting for someone else to put the thing together and ship it is going to make me stressed out. WIth my last two desktop builds, waiting a couple days for my parts to fly across the country was bad enough. This order might be bad for my health based on what I'm seeing in this thread...

Right now I'm wondering about where to nab all the drivers, since I'm installing windows on my own when my NP9130 finally finishes and arrives. The driver post seems to only deal with the older np81xx models.

 

With my desktop builds, I've always just visited the manufacturer's websites one by one to get the most recent drivers. Windows update service is pretty good now about even suggesting when some of your drivers are out of date and should be updated.

 

does anyone know all of Malibal's stages? currently I am on "processed"

That's pretty bad considering the 5-7 day advertisement.

 

He was probably waiting for Ivy Bridge to be released like alot of people here. So the time frame is a little misleading if you are looking at the 5-7 business days.

 

I got an email from Malibal earlier saying that theyve been out of 675m and the next shipment wont arrive until next week so theres that.

 

Doh, I'm waiting for the same.

 

If mine doesn't ship by ship by next week, I will probably change to the ATI

 

I'm on day 11 of a 5-12 day wait... I queried last Friday and Xotic said everything's good so far... I hope I don't get hit with a delay at this point without any notification thus far.

 

I haven't heard anything yet about my order, which I suppose is a good thing.

On a bum note, factoring in a 12 day build time and 4 day shipping to Xotic's place and then 4 day shipping to my place, I'm not going to see my laptop until the 22nd.

Bummer, but them's the breaks.

Can't wait, though. Luckily, I have a desktop for Diablo III. Here's hoping it gets here sooner than that, though, right?

I'm only on day 8 or 9, depending on if you count the day I got the email.

 

Yeah, build times is something i'm really curious about. I'm getting mine with the 7970 and thats ETA-late may, and i'll be leaving the country for a 2month period on June 23rd, meaning i need it by the 22nd. But i find no purpose (for my gaming pedigree) to get anything but the 7970 so i'm in a bind! If the production happens fast enough i'll probably just boost the shipping to 3-day / Next-day depending on how time constricted i am.

Thanks... mine does not count the first day it went to production (and of course, just counting business days).

 

You should REALLY consider changing to ATI even if its for an additional week wait.. heck even if it was 2 3 weeks you should wait.
