Hi, I have had my P150HM for a few weeks now. It has always been so cool everywere. Now I'm almost burning my left hand because the battery is getting really hot! Is this normal?? I don't even have the charger plugged in right now and it's still really hot. What should I do? I don't dare to use this notebook anymore

Try removing the battery and check if there's anything affecting the connectors. If it's really bad, remove it and use the adaptor for power. Perhaps you can try PM your reseller and talk to them about it and see if you can get a battery replacement.

The batteries will get warm, but they shouldn't get so warm as to burn you. Is it always getting hot or is it only happening when you run it under full load? It is possible that the battery is bad, so I would recommend contacting your reseller to see if they can look at it or replace it.

I have a P150 purchased earlier this year and its battery will become very hot under heavy load. I watched an SC2 replay at 8x speed without realizing the power plug was disconnected and I couldn't rest my left hand on the laptop because it was too hot.

if you load the processor and the GPU while on battery power you're going to cause it to heat up. If the battery is hot while plugged in I think someone is wrong.

Do batteries get covered under the reseller warranty? I know that some companies like dell don't cover this because it is considered a "wear item" like the tires on your car.

Just curious if a reseller could comment.

Most retailers cover batteries for one year. It is like you said, they are considered consumables and the warranty does not extend for the length of the regular warranty on the machine.

I guess no one actually wants to help you. First thing you should do is contact the reseller you bought the laptop from about this, chances are they will send you a new battery.

If it's within one year it should be no problem. Yes they get warm/hot but they should NOT get so hot that you can't touch them. If this is the case do NOT i repeat do NOT tinker with it, it can be very dangerous.

yeah, my battery gets pretty hot, but only when under load. when I plug it in, it's as cool as ever. I'd take it out of your precious lappie and run your compooter with just the adapter and then try to get a replacement or find out what's wrong by talking to your reseller.
