Hey guys I’ve never had a sager/clevo notebook neither a MXM one. So I am on the road for a new notebook and from sager I came to two options 8130 and 8150. The question is can I latter upgrade their GPUs? If I buy the 8150 with the 6970 at a later time can I change to a Nidia card like a GTX 590? Where can I find those MXM cards to buy? How is the cooling on the 15.6” since the 6970 is a very strong card? Does it have illuminated keyboard? Where is the better place to buy I found the xoticpc and malibal, any suggestions? Tnx

MXM 3.0 will be around for quite a while, the real problem will be CLEVO, if they send out a bios to support the future cards on the laptop that you are planning to get. I would actually browser all reseller to have bigger options and have a 1st hand experience on how they are. AMD 6970M is neck & neck with the GTX 485 in terms of graphics performance.
