Okay so I need a M570TU motherboard. What is the best (cheapest) place to buy one? I'd prefer to pay in GPB as the US dollar is very strong compared to my currency at the moment...
-
check kobalt computers.
-
Most likely a Clevo reseller will have one. Try the ones in UK and see if any of them will sell you one. But it won't come cheap, probably around 200 GBP.

Hi
Which email address did you send it to? I can check now as I'm logged in -
M570TU hasn't been out a year yet, so it must be in warranty...What did you do to it?

Strange, found it in the spam folder from Monday which is why it won't have been replied to. Not sure how that happened.
We can sell you one no problem, I will reply to your email in full tomorrow. -
Okay thanks
-
Okay I replied to the mail but haven't got a response back yet. Has it landed in the spam filter again...?

Hi
I replied to the email you sent last night this afternoon, was out the office most of the day so didn't see it until I got back in -
Why do you need a new mobo, you should still have warranty for it... na?
-
I'll sell you a barely used one (1 days so far) for $200. I want the ETU model ($300)
-
Sorry, I meant to write M570 ETU in the threadtitle. I mean I want the M570ETU. I have the M570RU motherboard, but I want the ETU one for quad core.
-
do you mean the RU, or the TU that you already have (as I'm not sure the ETU mobo will fit in an RU case...)
However if it does fit, I'd be interested as well -
Yea! if it does fit, i'll be interested in getting one too!
-
In my opinion it's impossible.. how do you fix the HDMI or esata ?
-
Start making holes lol.
-
hmm...I may have to compare the 2 service manuals in detail...
-
I see no reason for this not to be possible, but it might require some modding here and there.
Probably best to buy the whole assembly, back panel included... -
yes, maybe with some modding around the S-video out..
What do you mean with black panel?? the rear part?? -
So the only problem is the HDMI-port. On the M570RU there is a S-video port instead of HDMI. So I only have to expand the hole a bit around in order to make it fit. It's nothing really.
BTW Neil @ Kobalt, have you got my mail yet? I replied to it with my address on Tuesday...is it in the spam folder agan? -
The only thig that it looks like you need is a new processor heatsink assembly. The M570RU uses a HS with a triangular plate with 3 screws and the TU uses a square plate with 4 screws.
-
yes, I noticed that too...however this is very doable!!
Cookie, with which instruments do you want to expand the S-video hole?
I'm very interested in knowing how much this operation could cost!
However could a X9000 run without problems on it? @ wich frequencies? -
-
Yes only meanwhile I can find a QX9300 cheap on ebay or other auction..
-
That's a good point actually, would the santa rosa penryns work in a montevina motherboard?
The ram obviously wouldn't fit, so you'd need to get some DDR3, but it'd be much more doable if the processor upgrade could wait... -
Has anyone got the revision number for the M570ETU-motherboard? I need it for a reseller I am talking with...
-
Good question!
-
Hi new here, I was wondering if the mb upgrade worked?
-
no news for now...the cost will be very high because we would have to buy mobo, heatsink, ram, optical sata drive and cpu...
Not considering cpu, 560€ for me. -
Yea total price will probably be pretty high. I'll wait until the the NOK strengthens a bit over the dollar, then I'll go all in.
Buying M570TU motherboard?
