I need to buy a new PSU for my laptop, and heard that the Dell/Alienware PA 9E "slim" 240W PSU is a good option. Where can I buy this 240W PSU (I think it is for the M17x) with a Clevo connector or adapter? Is there anything I should know about buying this PSU, and are there other options to consider?

It has to be either adapted (good luck finding a high quality) or soldered manually.

How would I go about soldering it manually? Any diagrams/guides?

So do you mean that I would have to solder the old connector from my 180W onto the 240W so that it fits and the pin alignments match?
