After just about everyone suggesting sager, I really have no choice but to buy one.

I have been told that Sager laptops are the best built, better than Asus, and that something will not go wrong after a year when my warranty ends (this laptop needs to last me 3yrs)
^please confirm that all this is true

I'm looking to spend no more than $760 (budget was $700)

NP5160 vs. NP3250 ???, if someone can clear this up for me, I would appreciate it.

I was going to use XoticPC.........are they the best? (live in USA)

You guys probably know the best configurations so if you could help me out I would really appreciate it

would prefer to spend no more than $760

-(1600X900) should be fine, although (1920x1080) would be really nice
    -320gb is ok...would prefer 500gb
    -4g ram is ok....again, would prefer 6g
    -IC upgrade (been told)
    -lowest gfx are fine
.........can I buy and upgrade HDD and RAM on my own? (somewhat easily)

    Thank you for your help

unless you have some extra discounts you are going to need to increase you budget if you want to get either of those models, unless you want to get the np3250 without any upgrades. also are you looking for a gaming computer or just office tasks

How can I get extra discounts???

I wasn't looking for to many upgrades (bc of budget restrictions), I do some light gaming, but playing on medium or low doesn't bother me to much, or at least not worth the extra money.

My problem has been finding SB with USB3.0 and something better than 1366x769.....not to concerned with graphics, i do a lot of multi-tasking, downloading, programs, and then some gaming

go for the np5160 its a much better notebook, and ask some of the reps if they have specials for nbr members. i was able to get free shipping and a ram discount through malibal, but they dont offer the np5160. so ask xoticpc or any other reseller what special offers they have. also look around to see who has the best price

edit: what country are you in?

It pays to read more thoroughly.

OP, for your budget, you may want to consider a refurbished Dell XPS 15 L502X. With the many, many coupons Dell puts out for its Outlet store, you can pick up a system with the 1920x1080 screen (make sure you triple check the notebook you select that it has this option) for at or below your budget.
