I was looking around for a new laptop, specifically the Sager NP5760 SUPRA, and found the best price on http://www.powernotebooks.com , and thier prices seemed nice (compared to other retailers). Now i have some questions im only getting the 17" WSXGA+ "Super Clear Glossy" TFT Active Matrix screen, and i was wondering.
1. will this laptop be sufficent enough to game at native resoulutions?
2. how is powernotebooks.com, i checked the reseller rating and it was excellent(but they can be faked)
so any input would be great and thanks in advance.![]()

The sager 5760 was my first laptop as well, but don't worry it by far exceeded all my expectations. This laptop is well worth it! As far as Powernotebooks goes, I bought mine from them and it was a pleasant buying experience. Being in Guam I was kind of skeptical about buying and shipping overseas, but everything went very smooth. I cannot recommend them enough.

The NP5760 is a gorgeous machine, guranteed to be an eye-opener out of the box. -
Thanks for the info
, ive been in the tech industry for years and never had a personal notebook before(only desktops) so this is new territory for me. Oh and BTW i really like these forums, there is lots of info here

great choices all around. the 5760 is a powerhouse with high quality parts inside and out. and powernotebooks.com is, especially around these forums, seen as the best in service for all your Sager notebook needs.

If you want, you can read my review of the 5760 that is in my sig.
(Please note that mine has the 7900GTX 256mb vs the newer 7900GTX 512mb)
The newer 512mb version should have a marginal performance increase as a side note then.
(Think it was around a 5-10% performance increase having a 512mb vs 256mb vRAM and evreything else the same.)
I am also currently playing COmpany of Heroes and can run it on Ultra Settings No problem.
I also have the WSXGA+ Reso and love it and run EVERYTHING I Play on MAX Settings no problem.
Now that the 5760 has 512mb vRAM standard for soemtime now, having a WUXGA Reso should be great as well.
WSXGA+ or WUXGA+, w/ a 512mb vRAM don't matter which 1 you choose
I got my 5760 from DIscountLaptops and if I do it over I would go with PN w/o a 2nd tought.
PS:
It took me a whole 1yr of researching everything about laptops and esellers and more to finally buy my very 1st laptop which is the Sager 5760.

i just ordered mine through PN and dealt with Ron Baird, it was much better and i cancelled my order with SAGER directly. it was hard to get a straight and understandable answer from SAGER's sales staff on component availability.
i was told by PN that the 7900 GTX, the T7400 and the 100 gb (7200 rpm) hard drive are all on back order but they expect them in next week, with the exception possibly being the hard drive. i told them i could live with a T7200 (in stock) and an 80gb hard drive so they stated they would contact me next week to update me and refund any difference i may have coming for subbing in cheaper components.
PN has been great, i would recommend them easily. hell, they even called me at home to discuss the availability. plus, their price was cheaper than SAGER. they rock!!! -

Thanks for the great comments!
The good news is the 100GB 7,200 HDDs are now in stock at Sager -
www.pctorque.com is slightly cheaper, plus they throw in a free gaming headset.

Thumbs up to PowerNotebooks for my purchase.

Same here, I used PN and would also highly recommend it.
