Right now I'm on the fence between these two computers. The screen size isn't a huge factor for me, in fact the smaller screen of the C90 would be slightly favorable, but I'm curious as to which would provide higher performance.

The C90 would have a 2.66 Conroe, 8600m GT 512mb, 4g RAM while the Sager would have 2.2 Santa Rosa, 7950GTX 512mb, and 3g RAM. Both would have Seagate Momentus 7200 HD's.

Will the smaller chassis of the c90 limit the upgrade ability of the GPU? And with the 7950 being, supposedly, upgradeable would it be better to just stick with the large chassis to support newer cards?

In the end price isn't a huge issue, nor is battery life since they both are around 1.5 hours, I'd just like the computer that will perform the best gaming wise.

    Really appreciate all the help.

*Edit* Apologize for posting in both the Asus and Sager forum, just trying to get a view from both sides of the table. Didn't know it was a problem.

Since you wanted to get the best gaming experience, I would suggest the 5790 because of the high-end graphics you get with it. The 5790 supports up to MXM-IV and the C90 only supports up to MXM II. You may be able to upgrade to a 8800M or something better in the future with the 5790. But for the C90, you can still upgrade but you won't be able to upgrade to the high end cards. That's quite a big difference if you ask me...

alone, the 7950GTX will wipe the floor with any 8600 card.

the upgrade ability of the Clevo M570RU and D900C is about to get the official word from Nvidia. ;)

MXM-IV is for real (and not HE) and only Clevo has it at the moment.

It will be ideal for the upcoming 8800M's.

The C90S is a great 15.4" machine.... but the MXM-II (w/ 25w cap) is what might be its limiting factor.
