Hey guys, had my p170em for awhile now but one thing is really bothering me; I've finally become accustom to the keyboard allowing me to type at my usual pace however, when I hit the CAPS lock or NUM lock an indicator pops up in the top left which is fine but the problem is it leaves the keyboard unresponsive for its duration of fading away. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with disabling this?

    Cheers
    -Edd

I have the same problem as EddieHarris. Surely there's a way to uninstall these annoying pop ups.

Sadly I looked for away and never found it. If you disable hotkey, you lose control of your keyboard back lighting. If anyone has come up with anything on this I would love to get rid of the icons that pop up.

I don't have that issue. However, whenever I press num lock or caps lock while playing GTA IV, the game minimizes. Half the time after the game minimizes, it will stop responding, and I have to then restart the game. I have issues with this because I use the trainer for mods, and the num pad is required to scroll through the trainer's options. It sucks to enter the game, realize that I forgot to turn on num lock, and then be forced to restart the game just because pressing num lock minimizes the game. Additionally, other games actually use caps lock for certain functions, and pressing the button causes the game to minimize.

I have that problem too and it is extremely annoying, we should ask CLEVO for an option to disable those indicators, I don't see the point of them, we already have nice built-in led indicators for all that stuff in the chassis.

Ahh, I was wondering why Max Payne 3 and Battlefield 3 would sometimes minimize. Thing is, it doesn't happen all of the time, like maybe once every 4 hours of gaming, and I have the key set for functions in other games like Borderlands 2. I wonder why it doesn't affect me similar to what others have posted. I also haven't noticed that I have to wait for the caps lock hot key pop up to disappear before continuing to type. Hmmm....

I had this problem with my NP9370. They sent me to FTP site for Clevo for driver number 6.0100. then you right click on hotkey icon and uncheck the box K/B INDICATORS. Since then problem solved

    Sager NP9370 Software Upgrade

    It's on there hackness.

    Works fine on Win8 too.

Backlight configurator updated to v1.5 from v1.4 (not sure of differences).

Plus the right click option to disable those awful on screen notifications is nice to have at last.
