So, I found a solution for Clevo's bloated CC (all processes/services) and still be able to change LEDs on both keyboard & lid. Meaning, no custom fan profiles, just “Auto” or “Manual” fan control (FN+1), including CC overclocking, the latter is a terrible idea anyway.
1) For starters, uninstall current CCC -> reboot.
2) Download Control_Center_v5.0001.1.88.7z & Hotkey.7z.
3) Install CCC v5.0001.1.88, then reboot when prompted.
4) Open CCC, set "Performance" mode and fans to "Auto".
Open Flexikey, set custom colors, first lid and then keyboard, hitting "save" each time.
Exit CCC.
5) Copy Hotkey folder to the root of C:\ drive.
6) Run hotkey_settings.bat as admin.
7) Open task scheduler. Import included Hotkey.xml task. (FCU/RS3 12 seconds 'delayed start' or manually set 15-20 sec depending on resource load).
![]()
8) Pin GameFeet_start.exe shortcut to the taskbar and/or start menu to change colors anytime (delayed start).
9) Perform a BIOS reset to clear CCC's fan settings. Otherwise, fans will be stuck at 80% (FN+1).
Ruling out common issues: #1, #2
I disabled LED 'breathing' lid effect by choosing black instead.

It works perfectly. Thank you for the effort you put into it. Great mod, especially for those who do not have @Prema EC mods (default white keyboard lighting and static lid LEDs) and have to look at the tacky bright blue keyboard and breathing green lid without CCC, but otherwise would prefer to not have CCC installed. All of the worthless bloatware part of CCC is gone.
If anyone finds it useful and want to say thank you, they can use this link for Brother @j95.Last edited: Nov 13, 2017Papusan, Dr. AMK, j95 and 1 other person like this. -

Thanks man. FCU/RS3 new startup behavior many times overrides delayed tasks (5~10 sec) depending on resource load (applications must comply with M$ startup performance conditions in order to receive certification). Hence 13 sec delay.

What changed in this update outside support for P870TM ?j95 likes this. -
Only CCC v5.0001.1.70. Both Hotkey3.exe & GameFeet_start.exe remain unchanged.

Just FYI,
Tried this on NP8952 and it doesn't work. The keyboard light is just stuck on blue color xDj95 likes this. -
NP8952 hasn't been tested...but, you could try checking these steps below to rule out common issues.
Run GameFeet_start.exe to load previously saved colors. If colors are set correctly, then you must have skipped a step or two from OP.
Copy Hotkey folder to "C:\", otherwise Hotkey task (Hotkey.xml) will fail to run.
If the above is correct, then change 'delay task' to 20 sec.
AV messing w/ Hotkey3.exe process. Scan files and/or add Hotkey3.exe & GameFeet_start.exe to AV's exclusions list.

Update: Added new step to clear CCC's fan settings.

Does this work for p775 models as well?
-
Try it out, just follow instructions to the letter...additionally, create a system image backup using Macrium Reflect free.
Once installed (before running hotkey_settings.bat), please export this registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ hotkey" (PM).Last edited: Dec 1, 2017Scopus likes this. -
Will do. Thanks!

I can't change keyboard led brightness or turn it off completely, either by using Fn keys or the @ j95's GameFeet_start.exe shortcut. Is it just me or is it supposed to be like this?
-
Hi do you know if this works on p375sm ?

My biggest niggle with the CCC is that the windows scale automatically to the screen, which is a problem for me since I dock to a 4K screen, and the damn app always wants to open to the master screen. I'd like to open the app, and use it on the laptop's 1080p screen, but once it opens on the 4K screen, it's too huge for the 1080p one. Workaround is to make the 1080p one Master, open the app, then switch back to 4K as Master.
Anyone know a way to make it not scale to screen?Stress Tech likes this. -
Did you follow OP instructions? Brightness is working fine here...when you're done; hit 'save'.cj_miranda23 likes this.

Is it a normal behavior the default blue color will load whenever the computer is shut down then turn on again?
I have to run the gamefeet.exe manually to load the profile that i made when I installed the mod.

Yes, though lid should stick for a few seconds.
Nope, Hotkey task (Hotkey3.exe) will load your last saved profile.
Copy Hotkey folder to "C:\", otherwise Hotkey task (Hotkey.xml) will fail to run.
If the above is correct, then change 'delay task' to 20 sec.

Sorry for the late reply but unfortunately it's still the same even excluding the exe files in my antivirus. I don't know what I did wrong but when I checked the schedule task the hotkey.exe run successfully.

Did you by any chance disable "PowerBiosServer" service? If so, set startup type to "Automatic" and then manually start the service (services.msc).
Open task scheduler and run Hotkey task. Hotkey3.exe will stop the aforementioned service right after loading your profile.Last edited: Jan 31, 2018cj_miranda23 likes this. -

I did that w/ the exception of turning the PBS to automatic since it's already set and after running the hotkey thru TS the color profile I chose loaded. Unfortunately I tried if it will load again when I shutdown my computer the result is not perfect since 1/3 of the keyboard specifically the numerical pads is lighted w/ the default blue color
is there a way to change this w/o reinstalling the mod?j95 likes this. -
No need to reinstall anything. Leave PBS to automatic start.
RS3/1709 new startup behavior is messing things up and/or AV is still interfering with the process, depending on the AV, many times whitelisting processes makes matters worse.
TS try changing "Delay Task" to 25 sec -> 30 sec.Last edited: Dec 21, 2017Vasudev, Papusan and cj_miranda23 like this. -

Everything is fine now! Delay task remains 20 sec. Thank you! -
No problem.
Instead, try setting 15 sec.Last edited: Dec 22, 2017Vasudev and cj_miranda23 like this. -

Probably, just PM me this reg key (export) "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ hotkey" before running settings.bat (6).Vasudev likes this.

No such registry, am I supposed to have CCC installed prior?
-
Nope. Install CCC v5.0001.1.70 following OP's instructions. Export hotkey reg key before running settings.bat (#6).

Seems to work well on a P750-DM2G as well. Thanks for this.

Hi. I have Prema bios for km1. How do I change default keyboard lightning to white? And static lid LEDs?
-
-
Since the newest nvidia driver i got the problem with my P775-dmg3 too, that flexikey access and the gpu oc ultility are gone on my Control Center Ap :/. Anyone know there is a possibility to send this information to clevo, so they can hopefully fix this officialy with a new version oft the control center ap?

I´m running a P775DM3 at the moment.
Latest BIOS
Latest NVIDIA driver
Latest P775DM3 Control Center - 5.0001.1.46
Everything works fine, only CPU OC utility disabled (i always disable it). -
Same here. Though im on P650RP6-G. Happend after updating Wifi, BT, ME, Cardreader and iGPU via John's tool and dGPU (gtx1060) via Geforce Experience. Pretty sure the new nVidia driver 390.65 is causing this issue. Most annoying thing is that the OC fan profile disappeared. Edit: Also latest BIOS.
Tried reinstalling CCC via Obsidian tools and nvidia driver via Geforce Experience to no avail. -
i had the same problem today with oc gpu and even cpu not working or showing. i uninstal ccc, then reinstal the new version from sager driver. after a reboot, it was still not showing up on ccc but after playing and some sleep mode, it showed back mysteriously.
-
It s definitly the driver 390.65.. Going back to 388.71 and reinstalled Control Center, and everything works fine. After installing 390.65 there is a compatibility issue between the control center and the nvidia driver, so the control center doesn t work the way it should.. Hoping for fixing this with a newer nvidia driver or a updated version of the control center..
greez -
This thread is meant for users that want to avoid CCC's bloated "features" and just be able to change LED colors...any CCC related issues (CC overclocking, custom fan profiles, etc) should be posted elsewhere.
That being said, you could try installing CCC v5.0001.1.76 to address some of these issues.

Hi, this looks like great work by j95! I would like to get rid of the breathing effect on my lid so I tried to get this working on my P870DM-G but when I try to unzip CCC v5.0001.1.76 I am asked for a password - am I missing something here as I cannot seem to find the password mentioned in this thread or on the linked webpage?

Hi,
I own a Clevo W650KK/KJ1 device with the following firmware and software updates :
- 1.05.13 (BIOS)
- 1.05.08 (EC)
- Latest Intel ME firmware (11.8.50.3470H)
- CCC 5.0001.1.76
- Windows 10 x64
Now I can't find the "performance setting" in "System program" tab to switch between modes (high perf, balanced, etc). Only "fan setting" and "sleep button" are present.
I think it's the BIOS update from 1.05.08 to 1.05.13 that caused the issue.
Any idea ?
Thank you!Last edited: May 27, 2018
