Alright guys. I have just about pulled all of my hair out. Usually I can fix things pretty quickly, this time I can't. It has me stumped. I cannot get a driver to stick with the 7970 that windows does not shut down because it had "problems" (read: code 43) and CCC actually capable of running. What it ends up doing is giving me a 6200 in Vantage. I'm not exactly happy with a 6200 in Vantage.

This was a fresh install, I used the drivers off of the disc and the problem started instantly, CCC gives me the CLI.Implementation error off the start. So I uninstalled, booted to safe mode, driver swept and ccleaned and booted back up with the modded 12.6s. CCC worked fine, however windows locked the GPU saying it had a problem and did not let it boot up. So I wiped it all again and started with the 12.7s. This time nothing worked quite right. So I used a batch echo file to terminate all the Ati files I had as well as cleaning and uninstalling again, then went to safe mode and ran it all over again.

I thought I had it because the 7970 showed up working fine, however the CCC after working through the last two installs quit working here again. Same error.

    SO:

Is there a driver out there that fixes this issue? Is the issue solely on me? Any way to get them both working and hopefully get a score that I am supposed to get in Vantage?

P.S. In my vantage run the clocks were at the idle ones, I could never get them to come off the 300ish 150ish they were stuck at. I am assuming that was the problem and I thought I quick driver swap would sort it out. Boy was I wrong.

Obviously you're just a clueless noob and AMD/Clevo support for the 7970m is great. (sarcasm)

Just read the multiple threads here in the forum. The card is new and the drivers suck. I had to do a fresh install after an attepted driver upgrade went bad. I'm sticking with the factory driver until I'm 150% sure any new driver is stable and gives improvement. Sucks that even the factory driver is giving you grief.

Yeah I expected it to be bad, but not like this.

I did read through some, including trying to do drivers over drivers. I might just try a clean install myself. Seems like the only way.
