    Hi,

unfortunately, a friend of mine (so called "expert") has "updated/patched" the video-bios (Geforce 6800 go 256 MB/ NV41M) with a wrong bios version. Now, the Notebook starts, but the screen remains black.

Where can I get a working bios version for this video card?

Can anybody help me PLEASE? (The manufacturer told me, I´ll have to send the notebook back to get a new video card. Is this really necessary?)

    Thanks

    emmet.

you have to ask someone that has the same videocard to do a BIOS dump for you to use.

    OK.

I hope somebody in this forum can carry out this Video BIOS dump for me? Otherwise, it seems that I´m lost. There is no other person with a similar notebook in my area.

    Could you please help me?

    Thanks!

    emmet.

    another question....

why would you even want to flash the VBIOS on such a card... since there is no benefit from it.

If you cannot find a compatible VBIOS, then you would have to replace the videocard or send it in (if it costs more than $250-300, then its not worth it).

My friend has the same exact notebook and videocard, he might sell you his videocard module if you need it.
