    trying to repair IRIDIUM CLEVO M360C, at first when powering up it would start for a few seconds then power off plus there was no display nothing on screen at all, i took out ram reseated it then it would stay on but still no display, i can hear the cpu fan etc i cant even get into bios, ? could the cmos battery be dead causing no display, i know the lcd is fine green light is on in fact all lights are on no flickers from them not even the hd light. any suggestions what could be wrong ie no display

    OK...I'm sure you are looking for constructive help.

    The thing that is tossing me is the fact it would power on for a few seconds before going off, but reseating the ram fixed this.

    That symptom would lead me to think faulty DC DC board, which may or may not be built into the motherboard.

    The current symptom, though, sounds like a bad inverter or bad backlight. I was able to download an old user manual and it appears you have both an s-video and vga out port. Have you tried connecting either of those to a display?

    If it works with either, we can safely say inverter or backlight.

    If it does NOT work, its either motherboard, cpu or videochip
