Hello! I hope some of you can help me on this issue.
I have a Clevo P870DM3-G (in fact, it's a resistance fury SRVF1080G17D), it had GTX1080, however, after a couple months, while gaming, my laptop turned off and when I turned it on again, there was no video signal and coolers rotated on full speed.
My GTX1080 died for no reason... Ok...
I decided to buy a Clevo RTX2070 for my laptop, for the price I could upgrade it and make it works even better than original... However, it required a vapor chamber mod (which was terryfing to do, but very much accomplished, as the GPU is not getting hot or anything).
The main issue here is, now my screen turns on, but I don't have a bios mod (files) or anything like this... And, I don't know if it's normal what happens, now it freezes on bios screen and nothing works (keyboard or anything), temperatures are okay, I dunno if it might require a bios mod or how to do it properly, as it freezes even before I can enter on bios....

Thank you for all your help!

You'll need the dsanke bios mod on it to run the card.

Found it, thank you so much. I will read about it. Can you just help me with another doubt, quite simple for you, I think...
I had to replace the 1080 for the 2070... However, my laptop freezes when I turn it on (as you can see in my profile pic). The question is... Is it normal to freeze, as i don't have the proper bios, or I might have another issue? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I really don't have any way to test my components or a spare gpu to plug in my pc and pass through bios setting...

Thank you so much for all your help

You need the updated BIOS to get further. It wont work at all on the standard one.

@Meaker@Sager but why do these cards hang on P870DM3 for example, but work on the original DM? I searched everywhere but could not find the answer.

The original DM can't fit these cards, they are a different shape.

Yes they can if you mod it. I was talking about a modded DM. Like the one in my sig.

Tbh the question was better suited for @Prema, but he is more elusive than a rare pokemon ;) :D

The MXM slot is used a bit differently in the newer models which you need to overcome in firmware.
