    simply put, this thing is basically a desktop and i need a laptop. Im going to get the alienware m15x and crank it up to be a $3000 computer. But before i do that, i'd like to sell this bad boy...or the "big rig" as we call it.

    what do you guys think i could get for this?

    Out of curiosity, why are you switching to the Alienware m15x? The site says it's got the 460m, but only lists the 5730, 5850, and 280 cards as available. That's quite a bit of a step down from even the 460m or 485m in the 8130/8150/8170/x7200 Sagers, let alone from that beast you have.

    Well, its pretty huge.

    Maybe you should part it out a little more... The qx9300 you can get 500$ for easy...

    I for one would be interested in an m980nu barebones.

    hey man I think you will make more money selling individual parts then the just the laptop.

    Prob could get atleast $1500 because of those SSD! Not $2000 because you could get something highend with a 485m

    yeah, +1 for parting it out. you could sell everything pretty quickly if you priced them all reasonably. seems you've got a buyer for a lot of the parts already :)

    That seems like a lot of work to me, maybe if someone wants to buy it off. Of me and then break it down id be open to That, but tbh im not to interested in breaking it up myself

    I would put it on ebay, set the reserve around $1500 (or just start the price at $1500).
