    Well, I opened a new thread becouse I can't find the old one.

    Anyway, just to say that I eliminated the stuttering both in Vista SP1 and Windows XP when playing COD4.

    Here is what I did:

    Windows XP:

    * Installed SP3
    * Updated my RAID controller Drivers and Reltek drivers.

    I still have a lot of drivers to update (not video card drivers) but the process is slow. Everytime I update a driver I backup all the system.

    Now I have no stuttering at all in COD4 both multiplayer and single player, sometimes sound stutters (I still have to update a lot of drivers). Playing 1680x1050 all maxed out like butter.

    Drivers provided by Clevo & Co are too outdated. Unfortunately we have to look elsewere.

    PS: Overclocking seams to crash COD4 now. I don't know why. Anyway I don't need to overclock for COD4 as I used to.

    Always try and use Intel drivers for the mainboard.

    Yes it it RC2. But wait for a day. I updated my drivers on XP and the problem came back (just too excited). So basically I'll revert today to 169.04 and check it out once again to see if it is still good.

    This is all ridiculous considering the price we pay for these beasts. From a Porshe Cayenne at the start the d901c is revealing to be a gaming system tangled in ropes.

    I don't care much for 3DMark06 scores, I just want smooth playing (like butter) without stuttering at some high res with new First Person Shooter games (I don't care even for Crysis).

    PS: I was really excited about this system. I must say that for work is a beast but within this context I would be well served with a less expensive lappy.
