    Hello everyone,

I was doing some CPU benchmarks (OCCT) to test for undervolting stability, and after about 10 minutes or so, it averages at about 90C, as high as 93C at some occasions. Not that I am too worried about the temps, but is this normal? I feel like it's hotter than usual. Thanks.

Max fans, ambient temperature, propped up?

I think the fans are maxed, not sure how I can check that properly. The fans are loud though.

I can't really tell about the ambient temperature, I am going to say 25-26C (~80F), probably a bit lower.

I have Cooler Master U3 Plus cooling pad, with the fans pointing directly to the intake fans from the laptop.

Fn + 1 is max fans. Toggle it on an off, you'll know it. ;) I believe it's also in the Clevo Control Center. Auto fans can definitely cause those temps.

Damn, that was REALLY loud. Looks like the fans were not really maxed during benchmarks. Thanks for the tip.

Be carefull, the FN+1 make BOTH fans go at max speed ! that's why its louder, on a CPU only bench, your GPU fan is off normally
On my P150SM, the CPU fan goes at max when the cpu reaches 95°C
You can monitor fan speed with Hwinfo64

What are your temps like during the XTU stress test and 3DMARK?

If those are temps for the 4720HQ in your sig, then that's a little on the high side.

It's a little bit high but Intel CPUs generally get really hot in laptops unless you underclock and undervolt them.

were talking about OCCT here, its a very intense benchmark! rule of thumb: if ure able to stay below throttling temp (= 95C) in OCCT then those settings / clocks / voltages are 100% ok in ALL everyday situations including benching, rendering, gaming, etc :)

btw: use large data set for maximum error finding rate. also 5 min stable is good for benching, 20 min stable is ROCKstable and can be considered critical-system certified ;)

Yeah, I benchmarked for around for 25 minutes, and nothing happened. It was around the 10 minute mark where the CPU temps maxed at around 90C average, fans aren't maxed however.
