I recently got the notebook in my sig, aka np5797/m570etu. I got a qx9300 I installed myself and overclocked a little. Now the comp idles at around 35, but I'm not sure whats a good test program to see what it is at full load. I tried using a program called prime95, and after about 10 secs my temps shot up to 60, then after about 1-2min it was at 73,74,75,75 C on each core, then I stopped it. Is it ok for each core to be a degree or so off? Whats a good test to stress my cpu that takes into account 64-bit OS, 4 cores? And what temps should it max out on so I know I put the thermal paste on right? Thanks.

    those temps seem about right.

you can use wPrime 2.00 for a good multi-threaded CPU test with the 1024M test

Yeah, your temps look ok. Let it run for at least 15 minutes to be sure, but Prime95 hits your cores hard; they spike; fans kick in, and you will see exactly where it levels off under load.

Each laptop's cooling system is different. My M4400 w/ QX9300 with Prime95 sits right around ~80-83 on each core and it sounds like it wants to take flight (but it is a QX9300 in a 15" chassis), but in my old M6400, it kept the QX9300 in the 60's under full load and wickedly quiet too.
