This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I think everyone wants to know: If it is possible, will xoticpc, eurocom, powernotebooks, etc be offering an upgrade service to the 8800m?

    I think it's safe to assume that, IF the 8800M is released and IF it's compatible with the current D900C/D901C/M570RU/M571RU (Clevo names), the companies WILL allow for some form of upgrading. It's just extra cash for them + it keeps people happy (current owners don't feel neglected) and that provides for a good rep/customer base (look at how many times zfactor has written xoticpc/justin rocks ;) )

    yes but it will be more up to sager directly when it comes to pricing. since al their resellers are at their mercy. if sager prices it at one price then xotic and others will have to pretty much charge around the same prices. no one will loose money on that deal..
