Any owners of the NP8130 and NP8150 kind enough to do a speaker test? Make a video and put it on youtube? Play any song you want/movie/games. Instead of just talking about it, it will give myself and many others a good idea of what to expect from these laptop speakers! I'm also trying to get a comparison between these models and other similar sized laptops like Asus G5 series and MSI.

tbh youtube wont do them any justice.you will lose a lot of quality bass and treble while listening to a stream.

what mr dj said , and the only thing you need to know is that the 8150 is the only 15inch laptop that can handle both the 6970 and 485m

I had a customer that said his speakers on his Sager 8150 were...less than desirable. MSI boasts of the best sound with Dynaudio speakers, but personally I haven't had a chance to fully play around with them. ASUS speakers in the G series actually aren't half-bad. Since we get orders primarily for those we test the sound on those most frequently.

If sound is an issue, I'd highly suggest investing in a good pair of headphones to take with you. :)

I do have a video up, and posted on my review in my sig. However as everyone had mentioned, there will be a loss of sound quality...although the video can be played @ 1080p

This is offtopic, Xoticpc no doubt have sold lot of MSI and Asus laptops. In terms of quality and lack of 'problems', would you say Asus G series or the MSI G series is better? What brand or model gets the most complaint calls from customers? Which one would have better battery life also?

    Thank you

I don't know... mine has had no speaker issues at all, and I actually get decent base out of it. They are good enough that I've been too lazy to plug in my TV or my speakers when playing movies from my laptop, my wife and I have been just watching off of the laptop screen and using the laptop speakers. A bit less base than my Bose speakers but the screen is actually better than my 6 year old sony LCD...

I think the number of complaints that we get vs. the number of laptops we sell is an important point. MSI models don't sell nearly as much as our ASUS laptops do, so naturally we get more calls about ASUS laptop problems. However, a good amount can be fixed by either providing some over-the-phone tech support or a good explanation. :) Also, I tend to favor Sager the most (obviously) but ASUS comes in a close second. MSI however has some good models coming out soon.

Anyway, back on topic. Glad we've garnered some reviews of these models. Thanks for the info, thisisalamp and Windkull. Much appreciated.
