HI, I have a question I would like to add one more hard drive to my system. Can I go into the BIOS and disable the drive when I don't need it the only reason that I want to do this is because I want to have a image backup on my computer.

I do not think you can disable it, rather you can only change which drive you want boot.

you can just disable the drive in Windows.

You could add a third dirve and keep it out of the raid and use that for backups.

Ya that is what I want to do but I want to make sure when I am done backing up I can disable the drive in BIOS so that windows system can't see it. The only time I use it is to restore the image.
