I see Mr. @Prema is developing an unlocked BIOS for the Eurocom X9

Can that same BIOS be installed on a CLEVO P-870DM-G or are they different?

Is that BIOS like universal to any Clevo based machine?

PS: When they say the Eurocom X9 AKA Phoenix, does that name Phoenix also apply to the Clevo P-870DM-G or is it only for Eurocom's X9?

    It should be universal.

    Clevo P870DM
    XMG U726
    Eurocom X9
Phoenix (the name Prema came up with for the P870DM)

All are the same machines, the BIOS will work for them all.

Yes, this is why he lists the clevo and sager models side by side in his model selection drop down menu.

I know that prema mod can change bios startup logo for P870, can we change that logo ourselves?

For stock Locked / Unlocked Bios you can, but for the Prema BIOS, only Prema can.

But yeah AFAIK all the prema BIOS builds are all for personal use. Like HIDEvolution refused to send me the BIOS files, but they sent it to you as a special case (im guessing :p ) But from what TED told me ,i gathered that the builds for the P870DM-G systems arent something to be shared or floating around, they are a @Prema Partner exclusive.
I might be wrong, so feel free to correct me :)

Are there instructions somewhere for changing the boot logo for stock/locked BIOS?

Well, @Prema provides instructions for flashing his firmware mods. If you mean a do-it-yourself tutorial for firmware modding, nope.

Not that I've ever found. The BIOS has to be flashed with the desired logo. Some older ones allowed for disabling the logo, instead showing POST information and the AMI banner, although I think that option is now absent.

No, I wasn't interested in do-it-yourself firmware modding ;-) There were some BIOSs at one point (and it's been a while) that would allow you to flash a custom boot logo so long as the image was a specific pixel size (like 640x480) and it was an 8-bit .bmp (or some other specific format).

Yes, I think it is hidden in the stock firmware, but @Prema gives that back.
I think the AMI BIOS tools have that, but the problem now is UEFI Secure Flash firmware signature bullcrap. The imbeciles at Micro$haft have strong-armed the ODMs on that baloney and most of them, perhaps all of them, have fallen in line with the Nazi approach, including Clevo. This is one of the reasons to avoid BIOS updates from the ODM/OEM at all costs on older machines. Those that do not require that stupid crap can be updated with the cancer. It happened to M17xR4 and M18xR2 owners and it was really sucky when it did. @svl7 found a workaround to it, then they beefed it up and the workaround no longer worked on the next round of laptops.

The Redmond Mafia is serious about taking what is yours away from you. You can see that they think they are God just by looking at Windows 10... tons and tons of end-user controls have been removed. Why? Because they love you themselves, and money, and they are evil, filthy control freaks.

There are ways to do it, i have done it. But finding the right tools is not easy. Also never use the windows environment to do anything if you do figure out how to do it.
