Can any reseller tell us what the Silent Mode is and how it works?

$2300 is a lot of money and i leave for college at the end of august. I'm hoping for an issue free machine so i dont have to return it and get an inferior dell or worse...a mac.

Yes this will be interesting, in the 5793 the "loud" fan noise was mostly the GPU fan, cpu fans were not a problem. Since this model only has 1 fun it will be interesting to see what silent mode does for it.

I'm such a fan of Hibernate now that I always use it when "turning off" my desktop...10 seconds vs 2 minutes.

Its always good to shutdown every once in a while to clear the ram. I think shutting down every week would be nice.

I use hibernate about 1-2 months before shutting down.
However I do ocasionally restart for programs and updates.

I used to get this problem with hibernating, screen would go blank before returning back to windows and I got an error about some API having insufficient resources to complete the task. After that every time I tried to hibernate it would just stand-by until the next reboot.

This was a Clevo laptop too. Hopefully they've fixed it.
