Hi guys,
I have a Schenker xmg P706, which is listed as a clevo p671-rg.
The problem with this is when looking through updates and aftermarket bios (from BAKED or PREMA) or news of their release, there is no model listed under this, I understand it may be a case of it being under P670se or P670-xx but I have never noticed a P671 or even any model with a -rg suffix.
Can anyone help me to understand the naming conventions and what I should be looking for before asking Prema if he has said bios?

The 1 at the end of the model is purely a cosmetic difference as the Motherboard/firmware is identical.

It's part of the P670Rx series (RE, RS, & RG). The cosmetic difference between the "1" and the "0" is only the silver trim at the rear grill, IIRC.

To confirm the above, the "1" designates a cosmetic difference - nothing else. Different companies buy different design versions depending on their customer base preferences, which is why we wouldn't have had the P670 in stock at any point but only the P671. Same with other chassis that have a 0 or 1 on the end, but models with a 5 (like P775) have one design and some (like the P870) don't have a "1" version.
All the stock BIOS are available on our website driver download page and under the XMG/Schenker model numbers - for aftermarket BIOS it's all in your hands! Note that the EC for your laptop may well have a custom XMG fan profile on it depending on the version, so bear this in mind if you update. -
Ok thanks guys, much appreciated

Just be careful you are flashing the exact correct firmware for your machine.
Can anyone tell me the mode of my Laptop.
