I remember some really old school Apple laptops having a small built-in battery so you could replace the battery without the computer exploding while in stand-by mode.

Obviously this is not the case with newer laptops, but I was wondering if Clevo laptops shutdown when you remove the battery even if you're running via wall power?

Removing the battery while you're plugged in to AC won't shut the machine down. It'll just show that the battery is no longer detected until you put one back in. No biggie :)

Excellent, I've known of some shoddy manufacturers in the past that will not be named that passed all power through battery, thus killing computer if you removed battery. Thanks!
